Musician Carol Nantongo has dismissed rumors of a romantic relationship with fellow artist Eddy Kenzo, emphasizing that their connection is strictly platonic. In a recent interview with a local YouTuber, Nantongo clarified that she feels no romantic attraction toward the celebrated singer and President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation.
“We all have different tastes and preferences. I actually can’t be attracted to him romantically; we’re just friends. I don’t see what makes people assume you’re romantically involved with every female friend you have,” Nantongo said during a televised interview.
The artist’s remarks come amidst widespread speculation about a potential secret affair between the two musicians. However, Nantongo firmly denied the allegations, attributing them to misconceptions about her friendship with Kenzo.
While Kenzo is a household name in Uganda’s music industry, Nantongo’s candid statement underscores her desire to maintain a clear distinction between personal preferences and public assumptions. For now, she hopes to put the rumors to rest and focus on her musical journey.
